Paradromics & DARPA NESD Program

San Jose, CA/Austin, TX

I joined Paradromics as the Program Manager and acted as the technical manager of a team mainly consisting of PhDs while we began work under the DARPA-funded Neural Engineering System Design (NESD) program. As the only company in the NESD program, we competed for funding against some top universities and hit all of our critical milestones.

My responsibilities included technical reporting to DARPA and technical management of R&D of Microwire Fabrication, world-class CMOS fabrication, and out Neural Data Pipeline. We completed a system-level verification of our technology that allowed our funding to continue.

After getting promoted to the Director of Operations role, my responsibilities became focused on managing our $25 million budget, including personnel, supplies, and equipment. Additional responsibilities included implementing our initial Quality Management System (QMS), aligning our Regulatory Strategy with our Product Development goals, hiring administrative staff, and overseeing our new lab construction in Austin.
